Understanding intermittent FMLA leave under FFCRA
Intermittent leave under the Family and Medical Leave Act is more complex than ever under the Families First Coronavirus Response Act, which expands the circumstances under which employees may request leave. Employers are given leeway in whether to approve or deny intermittent schedules for employees, but companies need to be consistent and document the business reason for denial in order to avoid lawsuits.
